FSK (FS KKR Capital Corp.) Earnings Edge Above the Regular Distribution

FS KKR Capital reported on November 5, 2026 that adjusted net investment income rose to $0.46 per share in the September quarter from $0.43 in June. That puts quarterly earnings two cents above the regular $0.44 distribution already declared for December. The board also declared a separate $0.20 special distribution in October, drawing on previously undistributed taxable income.
FS KKR earns interest and fees by lending to private businesses. Loans on non-accrual, meaning the company has stopped recognizing interest on them, fell to 3.4% of investments by fair value from 3.8% in June. Net asset value, or the value left per share after liabilities, slipped to $18.28 from $18.30. Those figures show some improvement in the credit picture, and the prior quarter’s release also makes clear that an incentive fee waiver has been helping support earnings.
We see a narrow cushion for the regular payout. Another quarter of improving loan performance would make that cushion more convincing, especially if the lender can sustain its per-share income as fee support runs its course.
