SLRC (SLR Investment Corp.) Steady Earnings Support Quarterly Distribution

SLR Investment reported on November 3, 2026 that third-quarter net investment income held at $0.33 per share, above its newly declared $0.31 quarterly distribution. The payment is due December 28, 2026, to shareholders of record on December 14.

That steady quarterly result is welcome, although income remains below the $0.40 per share earned a year earlier. SLR lends to businesses through cash-flow loans, lending secured by business assets and equipment financing. The interest and other income those investments generate must cover financing and operating costs before reaching shareholders.

Net asset value, the value remaining after liabilities, slipped to $17.83 per share from $18.00 in June. Two investments where income recognition had stopped represented 1.2% of the portfolio at fair value, while net debt relative to equity declined from 1.16 times to 1.10 times.

Our view is that the distribution has current earnings support, but the margin is modest. Stable income and lower borrowing are useful progress; the stronger result would be renewed growth in income per share while troubled investments remain contained.
