PSBD (Palmer Square Capital BDC Inc.) Earnings Match Quarterly Distributions
View the PSBD Dividend Stock Profile
Palmer Square Capital BDC reported on November 4, 2026 that third-quarter net investment income was $0.38 per share, matching the quarter’s total distributions. That leaves little room for weaker earnings, although the newly declared $0.36 fourth-quarter base dividend is lower than the latest quarterly income.
Net investment income, what remains from investment revenue after expenses, slipped from $0.39 per share in the previous quarter and $0.43 a year earlier. Palmer Square lends to businesses, so the income those loans produce matters directly to its ability to pay shareholders.
There were some encouraging signs alongside that softer income. Net asset value, the value of assets after liabilities, increased to $13.34 per share from $13.21 in June, while debt relative to equity declined. One borrower remained on non-accrual status, meaning income recognition had stopped, representing less than 0.01% of investments at fair value.
Our view is that the base dividend still has earnings support, but the cushion is thin. A December supplemental payment is expected rather than declared. We would give more weight to stabilizing income than to assuming that extra payment will repeat.
