HTGC Adviser Reaches ﹩2.3 Billion in Investable Capital
Hercules Capital said on September 9, 2026, that its wholly owned registered investment adviser surpassed ﹩2.3 billion in investable capital after raising equity commitments for two private-credit vehicles and completing a rated securitization.
The vehicles are Hercules Growth Lending IV, a closed-end limited partnership, and Hercules Evergreen Fund, the adviser’s first perpetual open-end vehicle. Hercules said the investor base includes insurers, pension plans, asset managers, foundations, endowments and family offices. The firm now manages about ﹩6.1 billion of assets when HTGC and the adviser funds are combined.
Why it matters
Hercules Adviser receives asset-based management fees from its funds, and related general-partner interests may receive incentive fees. HTGC’s SEC filings say the public company derives adviser-related revenue primarily through dividends paid from the subsidiary’s net profits. More investable capital therefore can broaden HTGC’s fee-earning platform and diversify earnings beyond interest and fees from the BDC’s own loan portfolio.
The milestone is supportive, but it is not a disclosed earnings forecast. Hercules did not state how much of the new capital is already deployed, the fee rates, expected adviser profit, timing of dividends to HTGC or the rated securitization’s size and cost. Management fees can also vary with assets under management, while performance fees depend on fund results.
Net investment income remains Fly High’s primary signal for HTGC’s dividend support. Shareholders should watch the next earnings report for the adviser subsidiary’s income contribution, deployment pace and any effect on recurring per-share earnings.
