Financial snapshot: 2026-06-30. Research reviewed 2026-09-24. The annual earnings comparison is from 2026-10-03. The business and balance-sheet figures below relate to the reporting period shown.
The income-producing business
The distribution engine is the spread between income earned on the loan and investment portfolio and the company’s operating and financing costs. Blue Owl Capital Corporation can support distributions when net investment income remains sufficient after those costs. Changes in benchmark interest rates, loan yields, borrower repayments, new originations, credit losses, and borrowing costs can all affect that spread. Supplemental or special distributions should be assessed separately from the regular distribution because they may depend on income or gains that are not recurring.
This is the business behind the dividend. We care most about the recurring earnings left for shareholders after the costs of running and financing it.

The funding behind the assets
At 2026-06-30, Blue Owl Capital Corporation reported $15.355 billion of total assets and $8.323 billion of total liabilities.
Liabilities represented 54.2% of reported assets. This broad balance-sheet measure includes more than borrowing and must not be read as a debt-to-equity ratio. Funding costs and asset losses can both reduce the earnings available to shareholders.

Do earnings cover the dividend?
Annual earnings of $1.29 per share compare with $1.24 in annual dividends. Coverage is 104.03%. Earnings cover the payment in this update. Keep watching whether that support holds up.
We like the earnings support here. A steady or growing cushion would make the income case more comfortable.
Fly High update 2026-10-03
Credit and borrower risk
The portfolio is exposed to the financial condition of middle-market borrowers. Economic weakness, declining borrower earnings, or refinancing difficulty can lead to non-accruals, realized losses, lower interest income, and declines in portfolio value.
This exposure matters if it reduces the earnings left to pay the dividend. The next report will show whether that is happening.

Interest-rate and funding-cost risk
Floating-rate loans can lift investment income when rates rise, but higher rates can pressure borrowers and may increase the company’s own borrowing costs. Falling rates can reduce asset yields, particularly if loan-rate floors no longer offset the decline.
This exposure matters if it reduces the earnings left to pay the dividend. The next report will show whether that is happening.

Non-accrual cost increased while marked value fell
At June 30, 2026, seven portfolio companies were on non-accrual. Non-accrual investments represented 2.8% of portfolio amortized cost and 0.8% of fair value, compared with 2.3% and 1.1% at December 31, 2025. Their cost increased to $428.716 million while their fair value fell to $126.408 million.
Fly High assessment: The smaller marked share of troubled loans does not demonstrate recovery when original capital exposed increased. Monitor cash collections and final losses as well as the non-accrual percentage at fair value.

Available facilities and improving coverage headroom
At June 30, 2026, OBDC reported $4.14 billion available under credit facilities after borrowing-base limitations and $238.0 million of cash and restricted cash combined. Asset coverage increased to 187% from 178% at year-end, compared with a 150% minimum. The weighted average cost of debt was 5.8%.
Fly High assessment: The disclosed facility availability and improved asset coverage do not indicate an immediate funding gap. Restricted cash is not freely available, and unused facilities still depend on their contractual and regulatory conditions.

NAV declined after distributions and investment losses
NAV per share declined from $14.81 at December 31, 2025 to $14.26 at June 30, 2026. Six-month financial highlights report $0.67 of net investment income, $0.59 of realized and unrealized losses, $0.68 of distributions and $0.05 of benefit from share repurchases.
Fly High assessment: The approximately 3.7% NAV decline reflects investment losses as well as distributions slightly above reported net investment income. Monitor whether the next periods stabilize per-share capital and recurring earnings; repurchase accretion is not portfolio income.

What would change the earnings picture?
Compare next-quarter net investment income with the dividend. The cost of non-accrual loans has risen even as their marked value fell, so watch both income and NAV.
