AWP Adopts 12% NAV-Based Monthly Distribution Policy

abrdn Global Premier Properties Fund adopted a NAV-based managed distribution policy on September 11, 2026.
New formula
AWP now intends to calculate monthly distributions at an annualized rate equal to 12% of the fund’s average NAV per share during the prior month. The September 30 payment will be ﹩0.12 per share for shareholders of record on September 22.
Because the formula resets with NAV, future payments may rise or fall even without a separate board decision. The fund says distributions are expected to come primarily from net investment income, supplemented by realized gains and, when necessary, paid-in capital.
Why it matters
The policy makes AWP’s cash payout more responsive to changes in portfolio value, but a 12% annualized NAV target is not evidence that earnings cover the distribution. Payments funded partly by gains or returned capital can reduce assets available to earn future income.
Earnings remain the primary Fly High monitoring signal. Shareholders should compare future distribution notices with net investment income, realized gains and NAV. The board may amend or end the policy, and Aberdeen states that the formula does not guarantee a distribution amount, yield or return.
